Support our New Meditation Hall Project

Despite the amazing transformations made to the property over the last 9 years, the number of people who can participate in classes, services, and retreats is limited by the size of the existing buildings.

In 2011, during a visit by Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh, he planted a seed among the monastery’s community when he encouraged the building of a hall where hundreds of people could gather for meditation, teachings, retreats, and other activities that foster healing, community connection, stress reduction, and mindful living.
With county approval, the grounds have been cleared of large rocks and trees to make room for a 2-story, 11,000 square-foot building that will use design principles that emphasize energy conservation and blend harmoniously with the beautiful natural surroundings. It will house meditation and dining halls as well as restrooms and sleeping quarters for retreatants.
